With this litter, like all previous litters I have bred, focus has been on not simply beautiful, correct conformation briards, but to offer puppies equally capable for people interested in performance and good companionship and with overall general good health. The briard has always been a dog of working ability. It is its original purpose. To that end, form follows function in what the standard for the beed expresses. In my last litter with Dela and Chandon, for example, not only was I exposing the type for my line, but I was combining a history of some well known working dogs in French History of the past decade. To this end, my litters are always combinations of very carefully selected dogs who in combination will I hope bring an overall good quality in multiple dimensions of balance.

Orton (Double INTCH MULTICh IPO 1 IPO 2 Orton z Pierwszej Ligi), is a dog of international ranking in conformation, with some good distant line breeding to my bitch. He is the only briard that I know of at this time holding international titles of beauty along with multiple international working titles.

Yet he is kind enough to play with the family rabbit at home.

This litter is between two complimentary dogs who are lively and kind, capable of work and play without being hard headed or overly stubborn. They will be smart. Like the current litter and my previous litters, these will be of sound and correct type to the entire breed standard. These pups will make good companions, and also will be good dogs for performance people: obedience, agility, rally, etc. Typically I have again combined in these two beautiful dogs, some outstanding working dogs from both their backgrounds. The blending I hope will make nice quality pups that maintain the type you see in the photos. Never expressed before by me because it is only of interest to future breeders, but always in my decision making process, I take into account the ease and strength of good producers, based on the pedigree history. In this way I am contributing Briards with wanted traits who produce well. Without that, the future of the breed faces problems. The movement of these dogs will be a pleasure to watch.
